Do you consider yourself an entrepreneur?  I am trying to uncover the entrepreneurial juices in my brain to find that one idea that I have inside of me that is just bursting to come out.  The truth is though, I am having a really hard time determining what my super idea is going to be.  My brain is on overload from my day job and life that it hardly has time to consider another “career.”

 However, I do have some parameters that I would like this new job to meet.

1. I really enjoy my “real” job – I’m a lawyer.  However, being a young, new lawyer, my income is not as great as I hoped it would be when I went to law school.  Thus the need for another stream of income.  So this point is, that it has to fit in with my current work schedule.  I probably have a 1/2 hour here and there during the work day that I can spare, and several hours at night.  The only catch there is, that is family time!
2. I would like to make a substantial income from this new business venture, but I know that you have to start somewhere.  If I could average a net profit of $1,000.00 per month, I would be super excited right now.
3. I would like for some portion of the income to be residual - or semi-residual.  As an attorney, my work is like this: if I don’t work, I don’t get paid. 
4. Low overhead.  Needless to say, I don’t have $20 grand to drop on inventory or a lease in a fancy office/retail space. 

What does that leave me?  Some kind of career on the internet?  What do I feel qualified to teach people?  My worry is that I am not a total expert on any one topic, but I know a good bit about a lot.  There are probably people that can out-perform me at anything, but I guess I shouldn’t let that stop me. 

 So watch out world.  I am going to start something and hopefully I will have the follow-through to make sure this baby is profitable and meets all of my goals above.  Stay tuned.
