How do Political Ties Affect Your Taxes and Who Cares?

Filed under: IRS Tax Resolution — Tripp @ 7:56 am

Since my blog and law practice generally focuses on how to get yourself out of tax problems through an offer in compromise or installment agreement, much of my time is focused on my client’s “tax past” rather than worrying about their future. We always have to determine what happened, why people owe taxes, and how much they owe before we can begin to resolve their issues.

I ran across an interesting series of articles at www.taxgirl.com about the recent presidential debates and which parties (Republicans and Democrats) had something to say about taxes in the U.S.

It is important to keep up with new tax regulations, and we should always be on the lookout for opportunities to influence how we will be taxed in the future. It may just make a huge difference in how much money you can take home, and how much money you will have down the road when you’re ready to retire or when you try to leave money to your children at your death.
