As we move into the new year with the tax deadline just about three months away we will be getting used to receiving many updates about filing your tax returns this year from the IRS. We got one of those this week letting the public know when they will be able to file a tax return because of changes made to the Alternative Minimum Tax legislation.
Next we found out that based on the TIPRA laws started in July 2006, required payments with your offer in compromise, such as the 20% deposit or the regular monthly payments (depending on the type of offer in compromise you submit) are not refundable.
We went "back to the basics" to answer the question, "just what is an installment agreement?" I talk about them a lot on this blog and want to make sure everyone is on the same page.
Thursday we explored a mistake a lot of small business owners make and that is commingling or mixing their business and personal bank accounts.
Finally, I made a change on the web site to add a new contact page. I realized that there was not really a clear way for anyone to contact me if they would like to see a specific question answered on the site or if they wanted to consult me regarding some sort of legal representation. Here is the post announcing the new contact page.
This was a busy week and next week proves to be even busier.
