    Hi Lauren,

I don’t know that I have a good answer for you. Here’s what I would do:

Check out the IRS’ website and use the “Where’s my stimulus payment” tool. The link below should work. If not, go to http://www.irs.gov and click on the “Rebate Payment Questions” link and look for “Where’s my stimulus payment?”

    https://sa2.www4.irs.gov/irfof/IRServlet?app=IRACTC

If you still don’t have any luck using that tool, then I’m afraid you may have to call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 and someone there should be able to assist you.

There are also some Frequently Asked Questions on the IRS.gov website about why rebate checks were smaller than you thought or didn’t come, so one of those reasons may apply.

    Good luck!

    Tripp

    Hi Lauren,
I was reading on TaxGirl.com today and she had an interesting post that may be the cause of your frustrations.

Check out my article about the hold up on some tax rebates http://www.atkinssc.com/rebate-by-check-not-direct-deposit/
and follow the link to Taxgirl.com from there.
